With this great blessed month and a lot of anticipation comes great news for everyone! We've Alhamdulillah finished working on our most challenging project: Quran Word for Word in Arabic and English for Mobile Phones!

You can now Read the Quran with Word for Word Arabic to its English Translation, available on Java-enabled phones , Smartphones, Pocket PCs, Blackberry devices and Symbian OS.

Study and feedback has shown that over 40% of the people who had never read the Quran started reading it because it was on their mobiles. How wonderful is that?

It may be emphasized here that there are around 80,000 words in the Quran but the actual distinct words are only around 2000! Meaning, that if we were to memorize only 5 words a day, in just over a years time we would be able to understand the whole of the Quran inshAllah! And for those of you who speak Urdu, you will find around 500 common words between Urdu and Arabic, bringing the number down to around 1,500!

Unique alignment format
Reading a translation in word for word format would be no joy if the user is to guess what translated word belongs to which Arabic word. With our unique word for word alignment format, no matter which mobile phone you have, you'll be able to enjoy a simple to follow display where each translated word is neatly aligned to it's Arabic counterpart, directly below. This would also re-enforce the learning process.

Bicolored
On a small mobile screen it can be daunting to read the Quran in a word for word format. We've made things easy by alternating between two colors, so that words become easy to read.

Bookmarks
Set and retrieve bookmarks while reading the Noble Quran. More bookmarks are avaialble in Quran Word for Word Pro !

Optimizations
Special optimizations have been introduced into this software. These allow even low-memory phones to be able to display the whole of the Noble Quran with ease.

Verse Highlighing
We understand how difficult it can be to read text off from a small mobile screen. Quran Reader comes with alternate verse-highlighting with a subtle green background to ease those eyes and to allow the reader to concentrate on their reading.

Zooming
Zoom-in and Zoom-out (i.e. change translation's text size) upto three levels! Available in Quran Word for Word Pro only. Please note that the zoom feature is not for the Arabic text but the translations only. Basic and Pro both have the same display for Arabic text.

Stylus Support
Don't want to use scroll buttons to move around Quran Word for Word? Quran Word for Word Pro enables full stylus support for PDAs
